For those students and dancers interested in only the Afro-Cuban track and body movement, we have some of the best instructors in the nation on Saturday June 16 under one roof.
Kati Hernandez - Michelito Herrera - Aramis Pazos teaching Rumba, Congo, Abakua. In addition to that, Kati Hernandez will be teaching Cuban ladies styling.
Also, take advantage of Maestro Roberto Borrell, Jonathan Burke, Adrian Valdivia and Duane Wrenn, as they will be available for private sessions and are masters on Afro-Cuban folklore and Son.

2:15 - 3:15 PM Kati Hernandez - Cuba Style for ladies
Spice up your style by bringing the Cuban flavor to your social dancing and the Stage SPICE UP YOUR DANCE AND CHALLENGE YOUR STYLE !! Focus is placed on the fine details, tips and technique to help you achieved a more authentic cuban dance style. In these classes we will concentrate on the arms, lines, footwork, transitional steps to help you look more fluid in the dance floor. Body language And musicality drills to help you developed a more closer relationship with the music. Add it to your schedule
2:15 - 3:15 PM Aramis Pazos - Rumba for Men
Aramis is a graduate of the National School of the Arts in Cuba with a degree in both Modern and Afro-Cuban Folklore dance and has been dancing professionally for over 20 years. While in Cuba he apprenticed with both the National Dance Company of Cuba and the National Folkloric Company before touring internationally with Ballet Tropicana. For eight years, he choreographed and produced musicals and cabaret shows in Mexico, and was a soloist and assistant choreographer for Richard Neon’s, the assistant director of Riverdance, internationally touring production, “Jarocho”. ORICHAS. DRUM. MOVE. This class offers a rich taste of authentic Cuban culture and provides an amazing, full body work out. Accompanied with Traditional Live drumming, to help students understand the communication and relationship between the drums and the dance! You will learn songs, rhythm, dances of the TRADITIONAL Afro-Cuba Folklore. Indulge on a journey of movement. From THE WARM UP that focus on Afro-CUBAN traditional dance, through the magic and grace of the YORUBA TRADITION. The high energy , powerful nature of the CONGO and ARARA TRADITION. 4:45 - 5:45 PM Kati Hernandez - Afro-Cuban
Accompanied by the sound of LIVE TRADITIONAL PERCUSSION, Cuban choreographer, and educator Kati Hernandez will take you on a fun Cuban dance and musical journey. On Tuesday evenings come out and experience an AUTHENTIC CUBAN RUMBA DANCE CLASS known for its high energy. This class is geared toward those who never have danced Rumba or for those who already have experience and are looking to spice up their dance, enhance their technique & develop new skills. This is a training suitable for dancers of ALL backgrounds and levels. Add it to your schedule

Lunch & Learn History of the music we love and dance.
BAILAtlanta Lunch & Learn on Saturday June 16 1:15 - 2:15 PM. A session with 4 experts on music and dance: Maestro Roberto Borrell, Mario Diaz and Luis Gonzalez. Hosted by Duane Wrenn. Saturday will be packed of great workshop, food and dance. For first time, Lunch & Learn. Maestro Roberto Borrell will be talking about Cuban music and its origins next to dance instructor, choreographer and percussionist Mario Diaz and percussionist and director of Clave y Son, Luis Gonzalez.
We are thrilled to announce that SALSAtlanta's resident culinary genius, Kathleen Muller will be serving simply delicious lunches during the workshops on Saturday, June 16! The menu will feature fresh sandwiches, salads, and baked goods, all from scratch. Be sure to come hungry!
