This Sunday, we are taking our class to the streets.

ASA2012 story This Sunday May 20, come out to the streets in Virginia Highlands to exercise and dance, we will be out dancing and teaching from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.

This Sunday only, we will host our regular class outdoors and the time of the class will be 4:30 to 6:00 PM. 90 minutes class $12 per person. First timers will be FREE.

Join us SUNDAY, MAY 20th on North Highland Avenue from 2pm-6pm. Two miles of North Highland will be closed to cars but open to feet. Atlanta Streets Alive takes a valuable public space – our city’s streets – and opens them up for people to play, walk, bike, breathe, and make their own. Atlanta Streets Alive is an event inspired by open streets projects all over the world. The idea originated in Bogotá, Colombia, where neighborhood activists open 70 miles of streets every Sunday for over 800,000 people to bike, skate, or use any human powered means of transportation.

The screening of this documentary is part of SALSAtlanta 10.2, The 3 Day Cuban Party.

A true story about Cuban salsa dancing, the film follows a dance group from Havana striving to win the national dance competition. Enter a world of vibrant dancing, fascinating relationships, wonderful music, and colorful imagery. Filmed in Havana, Cuba.

Special guest, director Eric Johnson will be presenting the film, and will follow a Q&A and remarks by the director.

Dancing in Atlanta - Oudoor events and Festivals

NO La Casa del Son Friday.

Please note:

This Friday, May 18, for reasons beyond our control, we will not host our weekly Friday party: La Casa del Son at Taverna Plaka.

The party will resume as normal next Friday, May 25th as normal. Please join us next Friday. The party starts at 9:30 PM with a complementary salsa class with Julian Mejia.
